Change the Screen Timeout on the Samsung Galaxy S5 to Stay On Longer

Hi! You're watching VisiHow. I will show you today how to set the timeout for your screen to something other than factory default which is 30 seconds.

Steps

    To start with, we are going to go to the bottom on right hand side of our phone

    We are going to tap on apps one time.

    Once we tapped on apps

    we are going to have a selection of options we can choose from.

    The one that we are going to select is settings

    Once we tapped on settings, that's going to bring out our list of quick settings options

    The one we are going to click on is display

    It's an orange circle with the picture to display. Tap on that display option.

    Now you have options for brightness, fonts, screen rotation, smart stay which means that the screen stays on as long as you are looking at it

    Screen timeout, 30 seconds, adjust display, screen tone, daydream, LED indicator, touch key light duration when you're touching keys and increase touch sensitivity

    I'm going to go ahead and set our screen time out

    That maybe long for some of you

    You may want to have that for less. But for me, 5 minutes is fine. Again, in the screen timeout the options are 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes. 10 minutes is quite long time but 5 minutes is more than enough for me because I talk a lot and it's some of these how to videos I may actually talk excessively.
