    To begin, open the emulator.
    A shortcut for PPSSPP is on the desktop in this video. You may have the program saved in a different location.

    When the emulator has been opened, click "Settings" on the right side of the window.

    Click the "Graphics" section on the left-hand side of the window.
    Under the "Rendering mode" heading at the top of the window, you will see three options: "Backend", "Mode", and "Simulate block transfer effects".

    In order to change the rendering method, click "Backend".
    "Backend" is currently set to "OpenGL".

    You can either click "Direct3D9" or "OpenGL".
    The best option for your computer will depend on the capabilities of your operating system. For this tutorial, let's go ahead and click "Direct3D9". A message will appear that reads "Changing GPU backends requires PPSSPP to restart. Restart now?"
