You're watching VisiHow. In this video tutorial, we are going to review how to switch input languages in the "Samsung keyboard settings" on the Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
First, we need to access the settings icon.
The icon is gear-shaped. We will find it in the applications folder, which is located in the lower right-hand corner of the home screen. We tap the applications folder icon once.
We need to find and tap the Settings icon.
We need to tap "Controls".
Under "Controls", we will find "Voice and input methods" and "Motion control".
We tap "Language and input".
We find "Keyboards and input methods", go down to "Samsung keyboard", and find the settings gear icon.
We tap the settings gear icon.
It is on the same line with the "Samsung keyboard". We will see "Input languages". In this video, the input languages that have already been registered are English, Georgian, and Russian.
Let's add another input language.
We tap the circle with the plus sign next to "Select input languages". Samsung will show a message reading, "Input languages," and, "A new language is now available. Update your language list by downloading the new language. Tap OK to update now. You can also update by tapping the More button and selecting Update. Note that downloading via mobile networks may result in additional charges depending on your payment plan."
We tap "OK".
The downloaded languages will be available on top. There are several other languages that are able to be downloaded listed below the downloaded languages.
By tapping the language check box, we will be able to register it in the keyboard settings of the tablet.
To update a language, we simply tap "Update".
Samsung will begin to update the language and show the percentage of the update completion.
We press the home button.
Now, let's look at our downloaded languages by going to our keyboard.
We will need to open an application and write something.
Let us open Maps, for example, so that we can type in something.
We tap the world button.
In this video, we will find the Georgian language on the keyboard after we tap the world button.
We tap the world button again two times.
In this video, we will find the Russian and English languages. Every time we add a new input language, we will be able to access it by tapping the world button.
Alternatively, we can just tap and hold the space-bar button and scroll left and right to find our additional language that we would like to use.
This concludes our tutorial on input languages in the "Samsung keyboard settings" on the Samsung Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Thank you for watching VisiHow! Please feel free to leave a comment, suggestion, or question in the space provided below.
