I have an LG Lucid phone that used to belong to my mother in law who lives in FL. My husband used it for a while, we live in NC. I just had it activated through Straight Talk. Under language settings/ Google voice typing the language input is set to 'automatic'. When I try to change it to English, as soon as I leave that screen it reverts back to automatic. When I use Google voice typing when trying to send a text, the text appears in Arabic, not English. Can you help me with this?

I spoke with a Straight Talk rep and was told they could do a factory reset to try to fix it. Does that mean I will lose all of my contact information? Thanks.

YES, doing a factory reset will erase all your personal information and data, contacts, photos, videos, etc. But, if your contacts are set to your Google account, you can backup, go to 'Accounts', select your Google account and hit 'Sync', that way, all you contacts will be saved into your Google account. And once you set your Google account on your factory reset mobile, your contacts will be automatically recovered to your mobile.
