Welcome to this VisiHow.com tutorial! We will show you how to change the 'Lock screen' settings on your Samsung Tab 3 Lite.
Turn on your tablet by pressing the lock button.
Swipe across the screen to unlock the device.
Scroll down until you see "Lock screen" under the "Personal" category.
Tap "Screen lock" under "Screen security".
Your Samsung Tab 3 is not safe if you just need to swipe to unlock your phone. You can set up a pattern, PIN, or password at your lock screen to protect your device. Proceed to step 8 for a pattern; 10 or 14 for a PIN; 12 for a password.
Connect the nine dots in your desired sequence.
That pattern would be your "password". Tap "Cancel" to cancel the pattern or "Continue" to accept it.
Enter a 4-digit number for a PIN.
Tap "Cancel" to cancel the PIN or "Continue" to accept it.
You can type in any letters and numbers from the keypad.
It can be even your e-mail address. Tap "Cancel" to cancel the password or "Continue" to accept it.
Let's use a PIN code, for example, and look at it in detail.
Confirm your PIN by typing the same PIN.
It was 6543.
Tap "OK" to accept the PIN, and "Cancel" to cancel it.
Turn your device off and on by pressing the lock button twice.
You will be secured with a PIN now.
Enter your PIN.
You cannot get into the phone without entering it now.
You'll be back to the last screen.
Tap "Screen lock" if you want to change the lock-screen method, or your current pattern, password or the code.
Enter or use your last lock-screen setting (PIN).
Tap "Continue" to accept the PIN.
Now, you can change the lock-screen settings.
I do highly recommend that you enable at least a PIN or password if you have some sensitive material on your device. Thank you for watching this VisiHow.com tutorial!
