You are watching VisiHow. In this video, I am going to show you how you can change your text style on the Pages application on an iPhone 6.
To begin, we need to unlock our phone, which we can do by pressing the lock button on the side or the home button at the bottom.
Swipe right and enter the passcode or use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone.
Once we are at our home page, we need to find our Pages icon which is this yellow one with the pen and tap once to open it up.
We are already inside a document at the moment, but you can refer to our other video to find out how to open a new document.
Depending on the nature of the document, your screen might look different than mine. We are on the blank template right now, but some of the templates give us different margins, pictures, and text layouts.
Our keyboard is activated automatically and we can start typing whatever we want depending on what our document is about.
We can see that we have a paintbrush icon at the top; tap on the paintbrush and a new menu will open.
Make sure we have some writing to change.
In this menu, we have the option to change our style.
Firstly, we have the font and size.
We can make the size bigger or smaller by tapping the up/down arrows on the right-hand side.
We can change the color by tapping on the box.
These are the main colors anyone would choose, but we can select from plenty of colors and scroll through for different gradients.
We are going to go for the green.
We have to drag our color over the text, but we are not going to do that right now.
We can change our font.
At the moment, it says "Helvetica".
We can scroll through and select whatever one we'd like.
Let's go for Damascus for now.
We can see that our check is on the left-hand side of Damascus now.
This will happen to the selected font.
We can also press the "I" on the right-hand side for more options.
This menu allows us to change the density of the text.
At the moment, it is just regular which is the default.
Go back until we are in the "Style" tab.
We can also edit bold, italics, underline and score through which we just saw on some of the other fonts.
We can change whether the text is going to be left aligned, centered, right aligned or justified.
We can also specify whether the text is a "Title", "Heading", "Body", "Caption" and so on.
At the moment ours is on "Label" so we can change that to "title" and we can see that our text is now in the same format as the word "Title".
Since we have made our text a Title now, if we did want to change anything, we could go back into this menu and change the style again.
We can tap this down arrow on the right-hand side when we are happy.
This is a VisiHow video and I have just shown you how you can edit your text style on the Pages application on an iPhone 6.
