You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to resize a clip in Adobe Premiere Pro. In the previous video at Change Sequence Size in Premiere, we've shown how to change "Sequence Settings". That left us with some black bars at the top and bottom that we need to fix.

    First of all, we click the clip.

    We click "Effect Controls" at the top.

    We click "Motion" to expand its menu.

    From the "Motion" menu, we check "Uniform Scale" if it is not checked.
    It is the default setting.

    As we increase or decrease the "Scale" value, the entire clip will go larger or smaller.

    We are going to leave the "Scale" value at 100.

    We uncheck "Uniform Scale".
    Now, we can scale just the height.

    We scale "Scale Height".
    We will increase just the height so that the video covers the black bars and does not get distorted too much.

Clip size - I have altered it by mistake?

I have been fiddling with my titles and managed to resize my clip by mistake and there is now a black line down the left hand side of my clip. How can I put it back to how it was?. I have tried: I don't want to fiddle any more. I think it was caused by: I clicked on the screen and altered the size of my clip
