    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the 'Power' button located on the top of the phone

    Once the phone is activated, we will see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, press down on the screen, hold down until you see this icon, and then swipe up

    The different options are now listed

    These are the different sound options that we will hear when we receive a message. If we press down on one, the sound will be played. Scroll down to see all of the options. Once a sound is selected, it will show a green circle. Press 'APPLY', which is in the gray bar at the bottom of the screen, to save this option.

    Note that on this settings option there is Slot 1 and Slot 2
    .
    If the device has dual SIM activated (that means having 2 SIM cards inserted in the HTC One M8), then different sounds can be chosen for each SIM card, which helps with identifying which SIM card is being contacted. Using Slot 2 works the same way as selecting Slot 1.

I cannot change the received message settings from the default (Dahlia?

Have followed a number of tutorials without success. I have a list of options to use but whatever I use, it goes back to Dahlia. I have followed the tutorial but it doesn't work on my HTC M8. I have tried: Followed a number of tutorials, without any success. I think it was caused by: Don't know, I haven't had the issue on other HTC phones
