Edited by Lukward Thomason, VisiHow, Eng
Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to change "AutoPlay" settings on Windows 10 computers.
We need to open the start menu.
Then, we click "Settings".
When "Settings" opens, we need to click "Devices".
From "Devices", we need to click "AutoPlay" from the left side of the window.
The first thing on the right side of the screen is "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices".
We can uncheck "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices".
AutoPlay will not be available.
We can leave "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" checked.
Then, we will be able to choose what to do if a removable drive is connected. In this case, the action is "Open folder to view files (File Explorer)".
We click the drop-down menu.
We can click
- "Take no action";
- "Open folder to view files (File Explorer);
- "Ask me every time";
- "Configure this drive for backup (File History)";
- "Configure storage settings (Settings)".
We click "Choose a default" for "Memory card".
Now, we can click
- "Convert with Movavi Video Converter (Movavi Video Converter)", which we have installed in this tutorial;
- "Import photos and videos (Photos)";
- and so on.
We choose the settings according to our preference.
Then, we can close the window.
This concludes our tutorial on how to change "AutoPlay" settings on Windows 10 computers. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
