The Potable hotspot can be found on the settings where you can configure your phone to share internet access from phone to your computer. If your phone was provided by some network provider that has restriction to share data connection like sprint, then you have 3 ways that you can share data from phone or devices.

  3. 3
Lastly, you can simply root the phone to modify the features and to have tethering.

However, the last 2 of the alternate way to have tethering is at your own risk. Remember that modifying the settings of the phone such as Modding or by rooting will void the warranty and to what you have agreed to the terms and condition made by the manufacturer.

I am on a Note2. When I select Mobile Hotspot ON It asks me for a Password. Tethering works fine?

Can you tell me how to get Hotspot working? Thanks

That password you need to set, it will be used by others when they try to connect to your Hotspot. So, type it in, and give it only to those who you trust to join your Hotspot.
