Can your vocal cords be completely blown if you don't drink water?

Like when I sing my voice just blows out and wheezes. When I sing air just comes out when I do a soprano. I have tried: Drinking olive oil shots to smoothen out my voice a little. I think it was caused by: I sing to much and my voice gets dry and its hard for me to sing high
