Avoid receding hairline (for men)

Questions and Answers

Can the cause of hair loss be rubbing forehead at the hairline?

It may be a contributory factor, especially if you do it too often or if you do it way too hard. It is the same principle as wearing a tight cap all the time. Most dermatologist would not recommend it because caps apparently cause unnecessary pressure onto your scalp and it does not let the scalp breathe. The same works with too much rubbing of the forehead. However it is not likely the cause unless you can see an unusual wear pattern. The hair loss may not be permanent. If you stop rubbing, and the hair follicles are still alive, the hair will regrow. If your hairline is evenly receding then it is likely not due to rubbing.
