Backup glitch: "The connected device is locked," but it isn't?

Thanks, Walakobay! I've connected my Galaxy 5 to my PC, and my PC reads "The connected device is locked. Please enter password on the connected device.". . I took the lock off my phone before connecting it to the PC, so I don't know what the PC is referring to or how to proceed with the backup.. . I hope you can help. I'm trying to backup text, photos, and music so that I can reset the phone and get rid of the black screen of death it's been giving me recently.

I am getting a popup about a virus on my cell. Online instructions to remove said to backup my phone. How do I do that?

I am getting a message about a virus on my cell phone. It says I must download their software to get rid of it or my phone will be destroyed. The online info says this is a scam to get me to purchase the software. To remove the popup I must do a reset of the cell. This will erase all personal data. Therefore I need to backup all personal data. phone list, notes, map data, history. I can connect my phone to my PC and download some of the data but not sure how to get all the data. Where do I find how to save all data. The online gives a link and says to use the Kies 3 app. No where do I see how to download the Kies 3 app.

High-security password and I am not being allowed to turn it off?

I have a high-security password on my S5 and it will not allow me to turn it off. I enter the password in Lock Screen settings and when I go to the section where it allows me to choose, Swipe, Password, or None it is grayed out. It takes me to the sections stated in the article, but the tabs I should be allowed to push are gray and not accessible. I have tried: Everything from reset (without data loss) to navigating through my phone. I think it was caused by: Have no Idea, I was prompted to add a high-security password when I added my university email account
