    Make sure to tap on 'Emergency Call' button immediately before your iPhone shows the 'Power Off' slider screen. To do this, hold 'Power' button for about three seconds, and immediately tap on 'Emergency Call'. This does not usually work on the first attempt. However, with practice, you will get the hang of it. Make sure that you keep on pressing and holding the 'Power' button during the process.

Unfortunately, by going through the recovery mode to restore your device, all of the data on your phone will be deleted. You won't be able to restore your phone without losing your data. To restore your phone using the recovery mode, please do the following.

  • Turn off your iPhone.
  • Open iTunes on your PC.
  • Press and hold the Home button on your iPhone then connect it to your PC.
  • If your iPhone doesn't turn on automatically, press the Power button to turn it on.
  • Keep holding the Home button until the Connect to iTunes screen appears.
  • A dialog box will appear saying that it has detected your device in recovery mode.
  • Click OK. Restore the device.
  • That's it.
