You're watching VisiHow. In this video, I am going to show you how you can browse Pulse, on the LinkedIn application on an iPhone 6.
To begin, we need to unlock our phone by pressing the Lock button.
This button is located at the top, on the right-hand side of the device.
Alternatively, we can press the Home button.
This button is located at the center bottom, on the front of the screen.
Next we are going to press down on the screen, and swipe to the right.
This will bring us to the Touch ID or Passcode screen.
Here we can enter in our Passcode to unlock the device.
Alternatively, we can press and hold our finger to the Home button.
This will activate the Touch ID sensor, unlocking the device for us.
From the Home screen, we need to locate the LinkedIn application icon.
This icon is blue, with the word "in" written in white text inside of it.
Tap this icon one time, this will open the application for us.
We will automatically be taken to the Home page, which will show us different articles that our contacts have posted.
We now need to tap the blue icon, located in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
This icon is the same as the LinkedIn application icon, which is blue with the word "in", written in white text, inside of it.
This will open up a menu bar for us.
From here, we will scroll down until we locate the option labeled "Pulse".
Tap "Pulse" one time, this will bring up lots of different articles and discussions that are currently happening.
From here we can scroll to browse through until we find an article that interests.
Once we have found an article, we can tap on it one time to open it.
This will open up the article for us.
Then we can simply scroll through and read the article.
In the top right-hand corner, we have the options to like, comment, and view with Reader.
We can go back by pressing the white arrow, located in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
From here we can continue browsing as we like.
We may also search different channels, by tapping the icon located in the top right-hand corner.
This icon features three, white, horizontal lines.
This will bring us to a new menu, labeled "Channels" at the top.
Currently, we have "Green Business", and "Leadership & Management" as options. These are skills that we have previously suggested that we are interested in.
We will then tap on the last option, labeled "More Suggestions".
This will load up a new menu, where we can select different Channels to add to our list.
We may be interested in the economy, so we will tap on the blue "+" icon, located to the right of the "Economy" option.
Once an option is selected, the "+" sign will disappear.
We will also tap on the "+" sign located to the right of the "Entrepreneurship" option.
To go back, we will tap the white arrow in the top left-hand corner.
From this page, we can see that the channels we just selected will be listed.
To view the specific discussions on these topics, simply tap on one of them.
For our example, we will tap on "Economy".
We can see that we have been brought to a new page, showcasing the latest posts related to "Economy".
To go back a page, we will tap on the white arrow in the top left-hand corner.
We will then tap this arrow another time, located in the top left-hand corner once again.
We will now tap the LinkedIn icon, located in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
From this list, we will tap on the first option, labeled "Home".
This will take us back to the Home page, where we began.
