Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video we are going to show you how to bookmark a website in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see several icons.
It is one of these icons that we now need to access in order to open Applications folder.
We need the icon at the bottom of the home screen and in the middle.
It is a grid of white dots. Press down on this icon, and it will open our "Apps" folder.
In this folder, we need to find the Google "Chrome" application.
It has the Google Chrome icon, which is a circle made up of several different colors.
Underneath, it says the word "Chrome".
This icon may be located anywhere in the "Apps" folder.
Once it has been found, press down on the Google "Chrome" icon to enter the application.
Now, we want to demonstrate how to bookmark a website, and to do that we must first find a website.
Since we have the website or "BBC" already set up, we can just tap to open it.
BBC is the independent and public news provider or the United Kingdom.
Now that we've entered the website, we need to focus on the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
There are three small black dots in a vertical line.
Press down on this icon, and it will open up our menu.
In this menu, we want the star icon at the top.
If we press down on the star, it will allow us to bookmark this webpage.
At the top of the screen that opens, it says, "Add bookmark".
Below that it shows the "Name" of the webpage or website.
This information can be edited by pressing down on the name and then using the keyboard to change it if desired.
It also shows the web address or "URL".
Then we have the "Folder".
We can choose different folders as well by pressing down on this section.
There are several other folders, including "Desktop bookmarks", "Other bookmarks", and "Mobile bookmarks".
We can create a "New folder" as well by tapping on that option at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Select a folder by tapping on it.
In this example, we'll choose "Mobile bookmarks".
When we're happy, we can press "Save" at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
This has saved the webpage to our Bookmarks section.
If we press the icon with three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen again, it will open up our menu.
On the menu, we want the third option that says, "Bookmarks".
Press down on the word "Bookmarks", and we can see the "BBC - Homepage" that we have just bookmarked.
We now have easy access to it, and we can just pres down on it to open the website.
Again, press down on the three dots in a vertical line in the top right corner.
Now, we want to remove BBC from our "Bookmarks".
We can see that the star icon at the top, which was empty before, is now filled with a solid blue color.
Press down on the star to bring up the "Edit bookmark" page.
Now, to remove this bookmark, we can press down on the word "Remove" in the middle at the bottom of the screen.
Now, this page has been removed from our Bookmarks section, and if we press down on the three dots in the top right corner again, we'll see that the star icon is empty and is no longer blue.
This concludes our tutorial on how to bookmark a website in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8.
