Please note: Android and iOS devices that run Facebook Messenger will vary slightly in the settings on being able to save photos and videos automatically. Android devices can only automatically save photos, whereas iOS devices can only automatically save videos.

Unfortunately, you can't automatically save videos using the Facebook Messenger app on Android, you can, however, still automatically save photos. Here's how:

I can't download video in Facebook Messenger?

I'm trying to save the video in my gallery on the phone, but there's no option to save it there. There was a save video, but I don't know where it was saved

Once you long press the video and click Save it will be set to where your Videos within your phone are typically stored. It may take a minute to appear depending on whether you are connected to WiFi or not. If it is not saving and you are not connected to WiFi then go into the app settings and change the option to save even if you are not connected to WiFi.

How to save accepted Facebook Messenger video?

Saving problem of a video my daughter sent, video Facebook messenger, but does not open

If you see "Attachment Unavailable," it means that it was shared with friends but not public. If you are not on their friend's list, then you will not see it or be able to save it. If you are connected to WiFi, your daughter created the video, and you still can't load it then request her to send it again. Once you receive the video, long press on the image from your phone screen and you will see a pop-up appear with a menu, and there will be the Save Video option.

Go into Messenger and find the image. Press on it until you see the menu come up for the Save Image option. Install on your PC Microsoft One Drive as well as put the OneDrive app on your phone. You can then use their cloud service to access the photo for your report.
