You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to apply a diffuse filter to a video clip in Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7. As we can see, we've already imported our video. We've got "Layers" on the right-hand side and also the timeline at the bottom.

Steps

    Then we should just select the layer that we want to work with

    Once we've done that, make sure we convert it to a smart object, which is basically what flattens this video clip to one frame, rather than lots of individual frames. We need to do that when we're working with filters on video.     Then we'll select that layer in our timeline

    Find "Filter" in the menu at the top of the screen

    Come down to "Stylize"

    We have "Normal", "Darken Only", "Lighten Only" and "Anisotropic". Depending on we're working with, that can make quite a difference.

    Once we've changed these, we can then press "OK" to apply it to the canvas
