How can I change a microSD card from read only?

My microSD card files are now all read only files, and I cannot edit them on my Galaxy S5 phone. I can edit them on my Laptop, however once on the phone it becomes a read only file. I tried changing attributes and un-tick read only, but keeps reverting back to it.

The easiest thing for you to do would be to sync your device with your Google Account, and then remove the old SD card, and add a new one. When you sync your device again, with the new SD card in, it should automatically download any missing Apps, which you can place on your SD card instead of your phone.

You can also free up space on your device by putting in the new SD card, and moving any documents, music, photos, or videos on your device, to the new SD card. Also, keep in mind that messages on your phone, especially those with large attachments, like photos, can fill up your phone memory over time.

How do I put MP3 music on my Samsung Galaxy S5 SD card?

I used to have Winamp to put music on my phones, but I cannot figure out how to do it with the SD card on my Galaxy S5.

You can simply plug your SD card into your Laptop or computer, and then move your MP3 files from your music library to the SD card. Once you have moved your files, you can then put the SD card back in your Samsung Galaxy S5, and access your music.

Swap microSD cards in Galaxy S5?

Hi, I have a Galaxy S5 phone with a 16GB SD card. I want to replace the SD card with a new 32GB SD card. How do I do this so that the data and apps from the old card wind up on the new card? Thanks

You will need to clone the 16 GB one onto the 32 GB one, and then resize the partition for the 32 GB one. Just copying files, including hidden and system, may or may not work, as Android uses specific file attributes.

Why does my phone recognize my microSD card, but then still says 'storage space running out'?

I just bought a new 16GB microSD card from Samsung for my Samsung Galaxy S4. I put it in my phone and it is recognized and says I have 13.61GB available. However, when I go to download an app it says I have insufficient storage space, I have looked all over the internet and I have even tried 'move to SD card' on some apps, what should I do?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and bought a 32GB Samsung microSD card, put it in my phone (according to the directions I found on several websites) and my phone does nothing. It doesn't seem to even read that there has been a microSD card inserted?

A couple of weeks ago I put a ScanDisk microSD card (16GB), it must have read it because it said card is unrecognizable. that's why I bought the new one. I thought if I got a Samsung card it "would" recognize it this time, but now its even worse.
