How do I access a locked CMP741e Android 7" Tablet?

The tablet was a gift after the older kids of a friend out grew it. The problem is they don't remember the password to the tablet. I have fully charged the tablet and it seems fine but I don't know how to reset tablet so we can use it. Any help would be most appreciated.

First, ask the friend to go to Google Accounts Recovery to see if they can retrieve the password. This tablet needs to have new firmware installed in order to hard reset because there was an update sent out that bricked the device. So you will just go in a boot loop unless the friend gets the password or you install the new firmware. Follow this Youtube Tutorial The firmware for the install on the video can be found here.

Ask one of your kid's to assist if you are not familiar with installing firmware.

Why is not my Google account responding on my Android phone?

Due to too much attempts for my phone lock pattern, it has been giving me that I should sign in with my Google account through my phone, but when I enter my Google account it shows invalid

First of all, you need an active internet connection through WiFi or mobile data, if that is not the status, then you would get the invalid message. If you already have an active internet connection, sometimes this happens with Android devices, but it is easy to fix. You just need to visit the Google Account Recovery portal, where you'll be able to reset your password, and regain access to your device. Please scroll to the link, which is provided in another answer on this Q&A article.

If this does not work, then you'll need to perform a Factory Reset, also linked in the same answer above.

I am locked out of my Galaxy Note4. I need it unlocked but not for any carrier, I'm stuck at the lock screen and cannot get inside it. I know my Google account information, please help.

I was in the process of changing my pattern passcode to a pin number and while I was doing so I sneezed and the phone locked. The pin code saved but I touched the phone while I was sneezing. I do not know the pin and the phone is not asking for a backup password or a Google ID. How can I get back into my phone with my Google information because I know what that info is and I don't want my phone disabled

You choose the Google Account option and use those credentials. If it is refusing still, login to Gmail from your PC to go into My Accounts. Under Security, you will see a section for Applications. Go in and see if you have 2 step verification enabled. You can also go to Samsung's [1] to unlock your Note4 if you set up a Samsung Account and associated it with the Note4.

How do I reset RCA Android 7 tablet?

I have an Android 7 tablet that my granddaughter put a password on. She either did it wrong or doesn't remember the correct sequence of numbers. We cannot reset it following the internet instructions

On the back of the RCA tablet, there is a pinhole. Stick something in it to hold down while you power on the device. This should put you in Recovery Mode. This Youtube Tutorial helped me when I had to hard reset one of my children's tablets.

I could not remember my alternative password in my Samsung Tab pro 8.4?

I was able to get into my Google Account but I could not see any option for changing password. The option I see is to lock and erase all data option which I don't want.

If you know your Google Account credentials then you will use them once you attempt to login enough times on the lock screen. If you want to reset your password or recover it, you would go to Google Accounts Recovery and not the Android Device Manager. If you can see the Android Device Manager, this means that you know your credentials or they are at least saved on your PC.

How can I reset my Posh Pegasus 3G, forgot pattern and the volume and power reset method doesn't work?

I forgot my pattern on my Posh Pegasus 3G phone and I can't reset it, I also didn't setup a Google account when I bought it, any help?

This is because you have to flash new firmware on the Pegasus to hard reset it. When you try to hard reset with the keys, it just puts you in a Factory Menu and not the Recovery Menu. You can find the ROM for your specific version of the Pegasus [www.needrom.com/category/others/m-n-o-p/posh/ here].

Cell Phone LG Leon 4 LTE reset to factory settings but still can't open because I don't remember the password for Google account?

I'm going around in circles, Google is crazy, my daughter had to reset her cell phone to factory settings but still can't get into it. She does not know her password and I've spent hours trying to recover her password through Google but they will not let me enter a new phone number or email address. So they keep sending the password to her cell phone which she cannot access because she is locked out of her account. Please help!

This phone has a built in anti theft OS. The only way to get around this is flashing new [www.lg-phones.org/official-lg-leon-4g-lte-firmware-rom.html Stock ROM] on the LG Leon 4 LTE. Unfortunately this is the only way to recover the device with the Lollipop OS. It is so frustrating!

Just after I changed my router, my Android tablet is asking for a password I never defined. According to the instructions on this site, I should get a link saying "forgotten password" after a while and be able to enter my Google account information, but my machine will not offer me this possibility even though it is in theory connected to another network which worked before (the password to use that network is stored in the tablet and it says it is connected to the network). Thanks for your help.

You are probably going to have to hard reset the tablet. In the future a PSA for everyone, before you change your router you will want to unlock all Android devices. You may think you attempted the password several times but it was not enough for the pin lock prompt yet.

My 4GB Zeepad 7.0 tablets multi-touch?

My grand kid got a hold of my tablet and now it says too many patterns attempts, how can I resolve this problem? Can you help

First, attempt the password until you get the option to use your Google Account. If that does not happen, then you will have to hard reset the tablet. There are no way to hard reset your Zeepad without installing new firmware. Zeepad does not have an official website but search online for your model and the words Stock ROM and you will be able to get stock ROM.

Android phone accidentally reset and had to reset Google password - now locked out?

My daughter accidentally reset my Android phone. When I attempted to gain access to my phone I couldn't remember my Google account password, so had to get a new one. When I enter the new password my phone goes into a loop of first a screen about the privacy policy and then requesting my Gmail account and password, then back into the loop again - indicating my phone has been reset. Obviously, I want to try to get all my data back since the reset was NOT wanted. From what I've read, I'll be locked out of my phone because of the new password for 72 hours from the last time I logged in. At that point I can try to log in with the new password and see what damage has occurred? Help!

Was this helpful? Yes | No

Yes, you will have to wait the 72 hours and then see if the phone was hard reset. Depending on the Android OS you have, you may have to install new firmware if the phone will accept your new password after 72 hours.

I have a Kindle Fire HD7 and I'm pretty sure it has a virus, it always freezes and turns off, what do I do?

I went on to a website and it stopped working completely, it always teases me and I want it back, do you have any advice to get the virus off (if it has one). I have tried: Turning it on and off, charging it, waiting a long long period of time. I think it was caused by: I went on a website that probably had the virus

Was this helpful? Yes | No

If the website had a virus or you suspect one, install an anti virus program like Malware Bytes to see if it can sniff out the virus. In the future, enable smart search in your Google Settings which gives you a warning about possible virus pages. If you still do not find any virus then it may be a hardware issue. These can be resolved at times with a hard reset or firmware update.
