Allow Airbnb to Use Location Information on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Alexander Avdeev, Anonymous, VisiHow
Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to allow the Airbnb application to use our location on the iPhone 6.
To start, we should unlock our phone, which we can do by pressing the big round button at the bottom of the phone.
Alternatively, we can press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
We simply swipe right once our lock screen is up.
We enter our passcode or just press our finger onto the home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner if we have that option enabled.
The home screen will be shown.
We should locate the Airbnb icon.
Home screens can be different. In this example, the home screen is personalized with a custom background. Everything is kept in folders. Airbnb is in the "Travel" folder. The icon itself is a hot-pink- or coral-colored square with an upside-down linear love heart or triangle inside.
We just tap the Airbnb icon once to open the application.
The default screen will be shown, where Airbnb will be offering the most popular destinations with some really nice images as well.
Along the bottom, we have the upside-down love heart triangular icon.
The next is the magnifying glass icon that we should tap.
This is how we search for more specific locations or something, maybe, more obscure. There is another tutorial on VisiHow with steps on how to search by using the magnifying glass icon.
Tap the top option, which is "Current Location" with a little arrow on the right-hand side.
It may come up with an error if our current location is not enabled in the settings.
We tap "OK" to close the "Error" panel.
So, we don't need it right now.
We tap the home button at the bottom of the phone.
We tap on the screen to get to our main screen.
We locate the "Settings" icon.
In this example, the icon is in the "Utilities" folder. The icon is a grey square with a darker grey cog inside.
We tap the "Settings" icon to open the settings.
We scroll down until we find the Airbnb application.
Airbnb will be somewhere at the top of the application section, as the list is sorted in the alphabetical order.
We tap "Airbnb" to open the application settings.
The options we are going to be presented with are "Location", "Contacts", and "Notifications". We may allow access to these items.
We tap "Location".
We'll have "Never" or "While Using the App".
We need to press "While Using the App".
A little blue tick will appear on the right-hand side. This means that as soon as we have the application open, it will be able to find our current location. Otherwise, it will not try to. It's done now. The blue tick is here. We don't need to press "Save" anywhere.
We can double-tap our home button.
We tap the "Airbnb" panel to come back straight to Airbnb.
Now, we're back to the screen what has been shown before.
We can tap "Current Location".
The application will now load places in our current location.
We tap the back arrow in the top left-hand corner.
We tap "Cancel".
That's how exactly we do that.
To return to the main, default, screen, we can press the little triangle icon.
