All I can get is BSOD and cursor. Tried multiple times to reboot, but results are the same. Any advice?

Attempted system restore to get the printer to communicate with PC. While the system was rebooting itself, it went to BSOD. Nothing after that except screen to boot system when I attempt to continuously press F8 when I restart the computer. I cannot open or do anything else with my desktop. Running Win 7. I have tried: Manually restarting computer many times. Pressing F8 key on restart and only getting two choices for locations to boot system Error. I think it was caused by: Error with system restore During system restore the problem started. Please HELP!
