This is a hardware issue on your device. It happens sometimes when there's been water damage done to a phone. Perhaps it got wet, but still worked, and you thought it was okay. Take your device to a service center in order to get help with this situation.

My Note3 keeps going to mute on its own.

I just noticed that my phone was on mute. So I activated Sound and it went right back to mute Repeatedly. Same when I select vibrate. Can you help?

It may not just be the mute button that you need to adjust. You may want to check the "Alert Settings" on your phone and see the combination you've made there. If a certain profile is activated, even if you've taken your phone off mute, the setting of that profile will still be obeyed. Therefore, you have to make the corrections from there.

How do I set the volume button to turn down the ringer?

It used to be that I could turn down the volume and the volume on the ringer would turn down, and I'd click it again and it would be silent, with no vibration. Now it's only turning down the media. I have to hit the settings button next to the volume screen that pops up. How can I put it back the way it was?

If you're listening to music or watching a video, the volume buttons will adjust the media volume. If you pause the song or stop watching the video, the volume buttons will automatically go back to adjusting the ringer volume.

I have a new Samsung Note4 from Sprint.

When I receive a call, the ringer goes to silent mode on its own. I use the sound buttons and put the ringer back to normal, then after a call it resets to mute/silent mode again. I thought it might be an app issue and I've uninstalled apps, updated apps, no luck. Anyone else having this issue?

My Samsung Galaxy Note3 was upgraded and there isn't a mute option where it used to be (with the airplane mode, power and restart options).

How can I get the original option menu back without losing all my data and photos, etc. I have tried: Turning the device on and off. I think it was caused by: Updating the device, and now there is no mute option.

I can hardly hear the person talking when I make a phone call.

Greetings! The volume of the person's voice on the phone, is so low I can barely hear them. It's too low to have a functional phone call. This just started happening - not sure if I accidentally changed a setting. I've tried the most common "settings" checks, and turned the phone on and off and removed the battery. Any ideas? Thanks. I have tried: Tried Call, and Sound & Notification, and pretty much every setting for the last hour.. I think it was caused by: No idea. No traumatic event, no intentional playing with settings.

Need help trying to figure out incoming ring.

Checked all the settings - all the ring volumes are up. Do Not Disturb is turned off. Yet, all calls go to voicemail and the phone does not ring or give any notification of a incoming call. I have tried: Checked all setting and cycled everything. I think it was caused by: No idea. Just stopped ringing.
