You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to increase screen time-out on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.
In order to increase the screen timeout, swipe down from the top of your Tab in order to open the notifications panel.
When the notifications panel is open, tap once on the gear-shaped settings icon.
A single tap on this icon will open the settings menu.
On the left side of the settings menu, find "Display".
You may need to scroll down depending on the size of your screen. Tap once on "Display".
When the "Display" menu opens on the right side, one of the options will be "Screen timeout".
The current setting on my Tab is "After 30 seconds of inactivity". Tap "Screen timeout" one time.
A pop-up box will appear allowing you to change the time with several options:
"15 seconds", "30 seconds", "1 minute", "2 minutes", "5 minutes", or "10 minutes". For this tutorial, I will change the setting to "10 minutes" by tapping that selection one time.
When finished, tap the back button a few times, which is located to the right of the "Home" button.
Alternatively, press the home button to go directly back to the home screen.
