Hello, you are watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to adjust the filters on a search for a place in the Airbnb application while using an iPhone 6.
Press the power button on the right side of the phone to turn the phone on.
Alternatively, press the home button at the bottom of the phone.
Swipe from left to right to display the passcode screen and enter a passcode, or press a finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner if you have the option enabled.
This will unlock the phone and display the home screen.
Tap the Airbnb icon to open the Airbnb application.
The icon appears as a white, upside-down heart on a pink background. Once the app is open, it will display popular destinations such as New York, Paris, and Berlin.
Tap the search icon at the bottom of the screen, on the left side, to initiate a new search.
The search icon appears as a magnifying glass.
Tap on a previous search, or type in a new destination to begin the search.
This will open a page where you will be able to set specific filters.
Tap "Arrives" to choose the arrival date, and "Departs" to choose the departure date.
Tap a date for each option.
Scroll the bar under "Guests" from right to left or left to right to select the number of guests that will be going on the trip.
Tap an option under "Listing Type" to choose the type of location you are looking for.
You have the option to select a "Private Room", "Entire House", or "Shared Room".
Tap the switch under "Listing Type" to turn on or off the option for "Instant Book Only".
This option filters those locations that allow instant booking, as opposed to those locations where a request will be reviewed by the owner first.
Move the bars under "Price Range" to define a price range for the search.
This will filter out locations that are outside of your price range.
Tap the icons under "Amenities" to select the amenities you would like the location you choose to have.
When you tap on an icon, it will open the Amenities menu. Select all the amenities you would like to add to the filter. If an amenity is pink, not white, it will be used as a filter. Tap a pink amenity to remove that filter. Tap the "X" at the bottom of the screen to exit the Amenities menu without saving. Tap "Save" to save the selections you have made for the amenities filter. The amenities you have selected will be displayed under the "Amenities" header.
Tap the plus or negative icons under "Beds" to select the number of beds you would like the location to have.
Tap the plus or negative icons under "Bedrooms" to select the number of bedrooms you would like the location to have.
Tap the plus or negative icons under "Bathrooms" to select the number of bathrooms you would like the location to have.
To clear all the filters that have been selected, tap "Reset" in the top right corner of the screen.
Tap "Save Filters" at the bottom of the screen to save the filters that have been applied and view the results of the search.
Tap "More Filters" at the top of the search results list to return to the filters menu and apply additional filters, or remove current filters.
Locations in the results list will be based on the filters that have been applied to the search.
Tap a location to view more details.
This concludes the tutorial on how to adjust the filters on a search for a place in the Airbnb application while using an iPhone 6.
