Steps

  1. 1
    The first way is to swipe up from the bottom of the screen

    You will access the control center.

    Click and drag the a big sun and a small sun scroller on the right
    .
    This will allow you to decrease or increase the brightness.

    Close the control panel by swiping it down

    Alternatively, you can tap on the "Settings" icon

    This will open up the "Settings" menu.

    Tap on "Display & Brightness"

    This will open up the "Display & Brightness" menu.

    You can again click and drag the same scroller as in step 2

    This will either reduce the brightness or increase the brightness of the screen of your iPad.

    When you're satisfied with the brightness, simply press the home button
