Welcome to VisiHow! This tutorial will demonstrate how to take a nano SIM card tray out of the HTC One M8 by using the metal tray eject tool that comes with the phone. The tool package picture displays how the SIM card should be removed.
The tray has two nano SIM holders. For single-SIM phones, the tray will be half the size with only one nano SIM holder. If the tray is placed with the wider metal edge facing downwards, the left nano SIM slot will hold the first nano SIM card, and the right slot will hold the second nano SIM card. The first nano SIM will sit at the top of the phone when it is positioned with the camera at the top.
The size of a nano SIM can be compared to a fingernail. The HTC SIM-card tray is different from trays from other phone manufacturers. The dual tray has a unique design to hold the first and the second SIM cards.
Align the notches of the nano SIM card and the first holder of the tray as the nano SIM is placed into its resting place
The nano SIM card should barely sit in the holder. If the tray is turned over or tapped slightly owing to inadvertence, the SIM card will fall out. It is different from iPhones, where the SIM card fits into its slot tightly, or Samsung, where the SIM card, not a tray, is slid into its slot.
Put the phone close to a surface and pull the tray out
The SIM card will fall out.
That concludes the tutorial on how to add a SIM card to and remove it from the HTC One M8. Thanks for watching VisiHow! We hope that this instructional video was helpful. Have a great day! Make sure to watch other videos on HTC One M8.
