Add or Remove Panels from the HTC One M8 Home Screen
Edited by Thor, Alexander Avdeev, Anonymous
Hello! Welcome to VisiHow! This is a tutorial on how to add panels to and remove panels from the Home screen of the HTC One M8.
To begin, we turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, which is located right on top of the phone.
We press it to activate the phone. A Lock screen will be shown.
If we swipe up from just anywhere on the screen, we will open the Home screen.
On the Home screen, we can see if we can swipe left or right.
In this example, we cannot swipe left or right because we have not added any other panels to the Home screen.
To add panels, we put two fingers on the screen and swipe them together.
The editing section will be brought up. In the top right-hand corner of the screen, we can see that word "PANEL" in white with a white plus sign. This is the plus panel option. This is the option to add panels.
We tap the "PANEL" button.
The button will add a panel. A new panel will appear.
If we tap the "PANEL" button again, a new panel will appear.
If we tap the "PANEL" button once again, a new panel will appear.
We tap the "PANEL" button once more.
This is the last panel that we can create. We can create four more extra panels on the right side. We can add one more extra panel on the left side, but it is "BLINKFEED" not "PANEL". We'll talk about that in another video. We can add four panels to the right.
We can add different options, applications, and widgets to the panels.
Those are the things to which we need quick access. We also need to know how to remove the panels.
We tap a panel to enter it.
This is done to see how it is possible to get back in the editing section to remove panels. Tap one of the panels. We will be in the panel.
To remove the panel, we put two fingers on the screen and swipe them together.
We'll come back to the editing section.
We need to tap the editing icon in the top right-hand corner.
This is also a removal icon. It has a white frame and a white pencil inside. Tap it to bring up a new option with the selected panel highlighted in a blue color. That means that this is the one on which we are currently working.
Swipe left or right to switch between panels.
We always have to keep one panel.
We cannot remove all of the panels.
One will be always there, and it will be the Home screen. The actual number one panel is the Home screen.
We can cycle through the panels and decide which one we want to remove.
Once the panel has the blue highlighted outline, we can tap the "REMOVE" icon.
The icon has a gray text in a white box. After we tap the icon, the panel will disappear.
Now that we no longer have used all of our panels, the option to create another panel has appeared.
If we want to remove another panel, we tap the word "REMOVE".
We remove the next panel as well.
We remove the next panel too.
Now, the option to remove the panel will no longer be shown.
This option has been taken away.
The home-like icon below the panel represents the Home screen.
This concludes the tutorial on how to add panels to or remove panels from the Home screen of the HTC One M8.
