Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to add a password to your account on Windows 8 computers.
Move the mouse to the upper-right corner of the screen and wait for the charms menu to open.
Click "Change PC settings".
Click "Add" under the "Password" section.
The "Create a password" window will open.
Type a new password in the "New password" field.
For this demonstration, our new password will be "VisiHow".
Type the password again in the "Reenter password" field.
In that second field, we will enter "VisiHow". The third field is the "Password hint".
Type a password hint in the "Password hint" field.
For example, if we ever can't remember our password, we can read the hint. For our demonstration, the password is "VisiHow", so the hint could be something like "the best website for tutorials".
Wait for it to finish, and the password will be set.
Go back to desktop.
Either press the start menu button on the keyboard and then click "Desktop", or simply move the mouse to the upper-left corner of the screen and click there.
This concludes our tutorial on how to add a password to your account on Windows 8 computers.
