Press the power button on the right hand side of the screen to turn the phone on
Swipe the lock screen up to reveal the home screen
On the home screen, find and tap the Maps application
Maps is a blue tile with a white map on it. If the Maps tile is not pinned to your home screen, swipe left and find it in the applications menu.
Find the area you want to favorite and press and hold your finger on top of it
The application will drop a pin on the location you pressed
To save this location as a favorite, press on the pin
A new screen will appear with several options; press on the favorites icon at the bottom of the screen
The favorites icon is a white star shaped icon with a plus sign.
The location can be put in one of the three categories
home, work or other.
The favorite location can be given a nickname
The nickname helps differentiate between multiple saved locations.
Press the save button which looks like a white floppy disk in a white circle
It is located at the bottom of the screen.
Go back to the map and press the menu button
The menu button is an icon with three horizontal dots located at the bottom right of the screen.
