Add Gear to Your Workout on MapMyRun on iPhone 6

You're watching VisiHow. Today, we're going to show you how to add gear to your workout on the MapMyRun application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, we need to unlock the phone by pressing the Lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
The phone can also be unlocked by pressing the Home button at the bottom of the phone.
Swipe across the screen and enter a PIN or passcode, or use the fingerprint scanner by placing a finger onto the Home button.
Next, find and tap on the MapMyRun icon, which is blue and white with an image of a man running inside of a circle.
It takes us automatically to a page where we can record our workout.
We explain exactly how to do that in another video that can be found on this website, so feel free to search for that.
To add workout gear, we can tap the icon on the upper right side of the screen.
It is a picture of a shoe. This is one way to add gear.
Another way to add gear is to go back until we see an icon with three horizontal white lines in the upper left-hand corner.
Tapping on this icon will bring up a menu from the left side of the screen.
On the menu that appears from the left, tap on "Gear Tracker".
There's an icon of a shoe just to the left of these words. This takes us to the same Gear Tracker window we were at before.
Now, tap on the orange bar at the bottom of the "Gear Tracker" screen that says "Add Gear".
We can click on a specific gear item from the list.
The type of gear we are choosing is shoes, as indicated in the blue section at the top of the screen.
We can also use the Search bar at the top to type in a certain brand.
We'll just select "Reebok" for example.
Then it will bring up a list of different "Reebok" shoes.
We simply look for our shoes and tap on the ones we are using.
On the next screen, we'll be able to edit different categories that relate to our shoes.
We can change the "Start Date" to indicate when we bought the shoes.
We can also tell how long we want them to last.
We can select how many miles we intend to use the shoes with as well.
When satisfied with everything on this screen, press the orange "Add Gear" button in the bottom right corner.
To go back and make changes, just press the gray "Cancel" button on the left.
We can tap on the gray bar that says, "View My Gear" or the orange bar that says, "Record a Workout".
Let's select, "View My Gear".
This shows the shoes we just added.
We can also add more gear if we use more pairs of shoes. Then when we do a workout, we can select which pair of shoes we want to use.
Tap on the three horizontal lines at the top left-hand corner of the screen to open the left menu.
Tap on "Record a Workout" at the top of the menu to go back to the screen where we started.
