Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video we are going to show you how to add an address to the Auto-fill forms section in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see several icons.
It is one of these icons that we now need to access in order to open Applications folder.
We need the icon at the bottom of the home screen and in the middle.
It is a grid of white dots. Press down on this icon, and it will open our "Apps" folder.
In this folder, we need to find the Google "Chrome" application.
It has the Google Chrome icon, which is a circle made up of different colors. Underneath, there is the word "Chrome". This icon could be located anywhere in the "Apps" folder.
Once it has been found, press down on the Google "Chrome" icon to enter the application.
We now need the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
There are three black dots in a vertical line.
Press down on this icon to open a menu.
We need the "Settings" option, so press down on that.
On the "Settings" menu, we want the option that says, "Auto-fill forms".
Press down on this section.
Currently, the "Auto-fill forms" option is turned "On", as indicated by the word "On" on the left side and the blue switch on the right.
What this option does is when it comes to filling out a form, it will automatically enter the information for us. This will include things such as our address, name, age, etc. We can actually add an address, or multiple addresses in this section, so this function knows what to put into the forms automatically. In this tutorial, we want to demonstrate how to add an address to this section.
To do that, we need the first section.
It says the word "Addresses", and it has a plus sign on the right-hand side of the screen.
Press down on the plus sign.
Now, we have the option to enter our address.
It starts out with the "County/Region".
Next, we can add our name.
We can add our business name as well if we have one.
Then we can add the "Street address".
Add the "Postal town" or city name.
We can then add a "Phone" number if desired.
Now, we've added an address as well as some other information.
Therefore, when it comes to filling out a form, it is going to have this information already saved. Then it will know what to put into the form. This is really helpful or us because if we spend quite a bit of time filling out forms on the internet, it can take a lot of time.
Once we're happy with all of the information, we can press down on the "Save" button at the bottom right corner.
Now, the address has been added and appears under our "Addresses" in the "Auto-fill forms" screen.
This is going to be very useful for us when it comes to filling out forms automatically.
To edit the address, just press down on it.
Then we can edit any section by pressing down on it.
We can "Delete" it if desired by pressing "Delete" at the bottom left corner.
This concludes our tutorial on how to add an address to the Auto-fill forms section in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8.
