AT&T UNITE-177 SET UP AS ADMINISTRATOR?

I was reading up on this , I have a ATTunite-177f WiFi

I am not sure which model do you have from AT&T hotspot. Upon checking the AT&T Unite 177t it shows that is related to the AT&T Aircard 770S. Anyhow, let me give you the steps on how you can change the administrator password for your AT&T Hotspot.

1. Make sure that your Hotspot has sufficient power at least 10% or let it connect to the computer via USB cord to stay it powered.

2. Check the IP address of the AT&T Unite Hotspot you have as all of them comes in different IP address.

For Windows computer

>> Click Start

>> Go to Control panel

>> Go to Network and internet or Network connections and or Network and Sharing Center

>> On the Left hand side, go to Change adapter settings (Windows 7 and 8) or Manage network connections for Window Vista

>> Right click for the LAN or Wireless network connection to which you are connected from the hotspot then hit on Status

>> On the status, look for the details button and click then take note of the IPv4 Default Gateway as it would be the access address to get in to the setting

For Macintosh computer:

>> Go to Apple icon

>> Go to System Preferences

>> Go to the Network

>> Go to WiFi or Ethernet and click on the Advanced button

>> Go to the TCP/IP Tab and take note of the IP address. If you see the IP address as 192.168.1.43 or 192.168.0.22 change the last value as 1, so that would be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1

3. Open a browser you have on your computer then access the IP address in the URL box and you should be able to see the AT&T login page. Normally, the password is just attadmin all in lower case. You may also take the back cover out of the device and the battery as it is just on a label being printed.

4. Once you are login to the page of your AT&T unite 177. Look for the option that says Settings and click to enter or look for the General.

5. You should be able to see there two information on screen. One that says Unite Manager and Admin login. If you wanted to change the password just change the Admin login to something that you want the Unite Manager has nothing to do with the access, you can simply ignore it.

6. After you change the settings just click on Submit and you might get kicked off and enter the new password.
