Acer Aspire laptop won't connect to Hisense Smart TV?

Hi there... I can quite successfully connect & mirror the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to my 49" Hisense Smart TV. However when I try to connect my Acer Aspire running the latest version of Windows 10 it says "Connecting" and after a minute or two goes back to "Waiting for connection". The laptop has all the latest updates and drivers. I'm not sure what else to try... Can you suggest what else I can try to troubleshoot the issue? The article discusses how to connect to the Hisense Smart TV from a Samsung phone. My issue is with connecting my laptop to the Hisense Smart TV. I have tried: Downloaded and applied all Windows updates. Device drivers are all updated as well. I think it was caused by: I have no idea. This is why I am asking for help here.
