Access TripAdvisor Travel Tools from iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Melissa Rae, Eng
Hello, you are watching VisiHow, and today I'm going to show you how to access your travel tools on the TripAdvisor application on an iPhone 6.
To start with, unlock the phone by pressing the big, round button at the bottom of the screen called the "home button", or press the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone.
Swipe the screen across and enter the passcode, or hold your finger onto the home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
Everything in the example is in folders, so yours will look a bit different.
Find and press the TripAdvisor icon once to open the application. It is a green icon with an owl's face looking through glasses or binoculars.
It will automatically take you to the main menu where you have the option to search for hotels and restaurants, which can be found in another video on VisiHow, if you would like to know the step-by-step process.
Previous locations you've searched for are visible at the top.
Under "Browse", you can search for different hotels.
Search for a location if you're going on vacation, for example.
Further down the list is "Settings", "Draft Reviews", "Saves", etc.
Finally, at the bottom, there is "Forums", "Write a Review" and "Travel Tools", which is indicated by the green wrench on the left-hand side.
Tap "Travel Tools" once to open up the travel tools.
These are different applications that can be used alongside TripAdvisor.
There is "City Guides", "SeatGuru" and "GateGuru". It has a small explanation of what each of them include. The text below City Guides says it offers offline maps, reviews and tours. Tap it once to open the App Store.
It is a direct link to download.
There is an in-depth review of what the app will look like, exactly what it features. You can also pull the screen up to find the description, new things about it, information, version history, privacy policies, etc.
Tap the "Reviews" box at the top to see current reviews and ratings.
Tap "Related", which is located to the right of "Reviews".
It will show related applications.
If you like everything you see, tap the blue rectangle at the top-right corner of the page that says "Get".
Press the green "Install" button when it appears.
A spinning circle will appear while it is preparing to download.
A blue square will appear with a line moving around it while it's downloading.
You can go to the home screen while it's downloading by pressing the button at the bottom of the phone, and it will take you directly to where the TripAdvisor application is downloading.
It says "Loading...". Don't press on it now because it will pause the download, which you don't want to do if you want it to download quickly.
Once it is highlighted and downloaded, you can access the application by pressing the icon.
It includes much more things like your online maps.
A few prompts about settings will appear.
Press "OK" or "Close", whichever you like.
Double-tap the home button and go to the App Store or the TripAdvisor application, and do the same with the others if you prefer.
If not, double-tap the home button, go to the TripAdvisor application and return to the main menu by pressing "Home" located at the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
It will take you back to the main option menu.
This is a VisiHow video, and I've just shown you how to access your travel tools and download the applications they offer on the TripAdvisor application on an iPhone 6.
Thank you very much for watching. If you have any questions or comments, please pop them into the section below. Thank you very much. Goodbye.
