Accept or Refuse Facebook Friend Requests on iPhone 6
Edited by Kara, Rushell, Eng, Anonymous
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. You're watching a series of Facebook videos. In this video, we're going to show you how to respond to friend requests on Facebook when using the iPhone 6. This includes accepting, denying, or delaying friend requests.
To begin, unlock the phone, which we can do by pressing our finger to the Home button at the bottom of the screen.
This is the fingerprint scanner, which makes it fast and easy to access the Home screen and all of the applications.
Now, we need to tap the Facebook icon.
It is blue with a white letter 'f' inside of it.
When we receive friend requests, red notifications appear next to the second icon on the bottom menu bar.
This icon has an image of a couple of people, and below that it says 'Requests' The red circle has a number '1' in it, which symbolizes one request.
Tap on the 'Requests' icon to open it and see all the friend requests.
We can confirm requests and add that person as a friend, or we can delete friend requests, which means ignoring it and not accepting the friend request.
We currently have three requests on this phone, and the top one is the most recent.
To delete a friend request, tap on the 'Delete' button on the same line with the profile picture of the person who sent that request.
Continue doing this for each request to be deleted. On average, three friend requests will appear on the 'Friend Requests' screen.
To confirm and add that person to the Friends list, tap on the blue 'Confirm' button that is located on the same line with that person's profile picture.
Also under that person's name it will say how many mutual common friends there are between us and that person.
After tapping on 'Confirm', that person will be added to our Friends list.
To delay a friend request without having to remove it or add the person, don't tap on anything and simply close the 'Friend Requests' page by tapping on any of the icons at the bottom of the screen.
The Friend Requests will still remain on our account even if we do not respond to them right away. However, once these requests are opened and viewed, they will no longer appear as a notification next to the 'Requests' icon on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.
You just watched me responding to friend requests and showing you how to accept, deny, or delay them on the iPhone 6.
If you have any additional questions on how Facebook or related applications work, please leave them in the comment section below. I will then help you to find the answers. Thank you for watching VisiHow. Bye-bye.
