Go to Samsung's Find My Mobile Lock and click the drop down menu under Lock Device. You can then turn the lock on or off remotely. You can also change the pin to pattern or vice versa. If you use your Google Account once you click Forgot Password as an option, then you can go in and change the pin also. You may have to clear the credentials under Security first or swap it to pattern.

Use your Samsung Account on the PC as stated above to remotely access your phone, or the Google Account. A soft reset on a Galaxy phone is often done by just taking out the battery for a few minutes. This can also be done by holding down the power button for 20 seconds until the device restarts.

What email did you use for Google Play and YouTube? Because those would be your Google Account. When you setup the device it asked you for an email and that should be linked to your Google Account. Try it on the PC to see if you can login with that email to Google Accounts. If you set up your Samsung Account then you can use Samsung's Find My Mobile. Those are your two answers without having to perform a hard reset.,

My phone reset today and it keeps telling me my password is incorrect?

My phone reset today and I can't unlock the phone with my password. I have tried: Guessing the password. I think it was caused by: Phone reset itself

Use your Google Account. By reset do you mean updated the OS? Many people had issues with their pinlock codes after the upgrade from Kitkat to Lollipop OS. You can still access with the Google Account last synced to the device though so try that by clicking Forgot Password once you see it as an option.

Hi, my phone S4 is being off automatically, what should I do?

Hi my phone S4 is being off automatically, what should I do? I can switch it on easily by pressing the switch on button

Get a can of forced air and spray around your power button. Remove the back and spray around the battery connections after you have removed the battery. If your battery appears warped or distorted then this would be the issue. See if the phone now operates normally. If not then hard reset the device and wait again to see if everything is OK. If not then replace your battery. This is the most expensive fix so that is why you should try the other two solutions first. If your battery is super hot, warped and distorted then you will need to replace it immediately. Some Samsung batteries with BD in the serial number came stock with the Galaxy S4 and were corrupted which caused this error however, the same thing happened to my friend's phone and they still had to spray the forced air and reset the device before it worked properly again. Keep that can of forced air because once a month they have to spray the power button area or the phone does this again.

I have tried: Trying to download stuff of the internet but no good. I think it was caused by: I changed my password

You will have to use either your Google Account or Samsung's Find My Mobile. To keep this from happening again, write down your password when you change it. Also, set your Google Account and Samsung Account to Sync often so that you can retrieve contacts and photos should you have to hard reset.

I forgot my Samsung S4 screen lock?

I forgot my Samsung S4 screen lock and I don't want to reset my phone for I will lose my data. I have tried: Contacted local customer care. I think it was caused by: Being long without using the phone

Was this helpful? Yes | No | I need help

Customer Care should have told you to try using your Samsung Account. If you have another device registered, you may not be able to use it but with your Google Account it should still be able to unlock the device. Use Google Accounts Recovery if you have forgotten what that account is.
